Once our eyes are opened we can't pretend we don't know what to do. God, who weighs our hearts and keeps our souls, knows that we know and holds us responsible to act. Proverbs 24:12

SDA APPOINTMENT DATE
We just got our date, November 15. YAH!!! We are sooo excited and sooo ready. Now to calm my heart and mind down so that I can finish all the last minute stuff. We have waited for this for so long and now it is finally here. Praise God!
Do you know about Golden Rule travel for making reservations? They specialize in missionary and adoption travel and saved us a good deal of money!
Travel tip: if you have the opportunity to travel on the overnight train just know that your little train room will roastingly warm once the train starts moving! I learned to put one of the wool blankets over the vent (under the pop up table) as soon as the train starts moving otherwise the heater will blow warm air and it will not be possible to cool off the room without leaving your door open. The train windows do not work.
I'm very excited for you as you get ready to leave! It was 2 years ago that we were also waiting for our SDA date - the time goes so fast! Our daughters are adjusting well and we are so blessed to have them in our family! Are you anticipating addding a girl or boy or multiple children? God bless you as you follow Him in this wonderful adventure!
Thanks Sally. We are using Golden Rule Travel, someone else had mentioned them to me and it looks like the way to go. Thanks for the tip about the train, nothing like being hot and miserable. We are looking for 1 maybe 2 girls. Can you email me (tina@iland.net)your experience on bringing home 2 children at once? I am so excited for this opprotunity and it is definately going to be an adventure. _____________________ Thanks for the encouragement Sheila. So glad to have people follow our journey and encourage us.
Just found your blog today - congratulations on your upcoming appointment! We have adopted twice from Ukraine, in 2007 and 2010 - both times we came home with a 5-year-old boy!
Thanks Jenn. I have followed your blog and so adore your boys. You always have such great things to say and I look forward to reading your blog. Thanks for the prayers, as you know, we will need those.
