We are a little more comfortable today. Here are some pictures of our apartment and sightseeing. One of the pictures is the doorway leading in to the stairs of the apartment building. Looking forward to our appointment tomorrow. Thanks for the prayers.
were you tempted to buy the nesting dolls of the u.s. presidents? :) marvelous stuff on that street! your apartment looks wonderful and comfortable but i bet you were worried the first time you saw the entrance way to the building! our attorney/facilitator told us many times that the "repair work" in many apartments was very nice and your place is a great example of that! glad you are more comfortable today.
ReplyDeletewhat time is your sda appt tomorrow?
continuing to pray! and thanks for the great pictures!
Feel free to e-mail me if you need an American's voice or any help. Blessings on you as you have your meeting tomorrow! {and if you walk to the bottom of the hill where the SDA is located, (Uzviz in Ukrainian/Spusk in Russian) and go to Kontraktova Plosha near Pycata Khata, you can eat at the brand new Domino's- it's delicious. This metro is on the red line, so if you're near Maidan or Khresatik, you can take the metro back up from Podil} Also, please check out the state dept. web site for Kyiv- the wallet scam is alive and well here.
ReplyDeleteGlad you made it! Praying for your SDA appointment!
ReplyDeleteWow. It looks like you have a nice apartment...on the inside. I wish I could go shopping with you. I enjoyed looking at those street vendors things. We were there in March and April, so we probably had better weather. Though we had about 80 here in Indiana last Friday. Have a good time at the SDA. That was my scariest moment of the entire trip - I forgot to untuck my money belt, which contained my passport, from my pants. Soli Deo gloria.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you guys are having fun! It looks like it would be an adjustment. But everything looks very neat!
ReplyDeleteWe are so happy for you having this opportunity - not only to expand your family, but to see the history in a very different part of the world. Soak it all in. Looking forward to hearing more daily. Jen & Tony
ReplyDeleteHey we stayed in that apartment only a couple of weeks after you did! How did you like the American Indian dream catchers?
