Our Journey

Well, it has been a while since I have posted. Gary and I have been trying to adopt through the public sector for several years now. We are foster parents and have not had the priviledge to adopt any of the children that we have had in our home. We started on our journey to adopt internationally in March of 2009 and were to the stage of submitting our paperwork to the country's Department of Adoption when a couple of our foster children returned to our home. We felt like we could not leave them for the time we would need to be gone, up to 5 weeks, and so we let go of the idea of international adoption in March of this year. This decision was made after much prayer and soul searching. God is leading us down a different path. So we wait with much excitement and anticipation because whatever he has in store must be awesome.
