He Knows

Everyday I worry about what is going on with sweet girl but yesterday in church we sang this song and it hit me.  God knows her name.  He knows.  I need to let go and let Him have control over this.

Waiting is Oh So Hard

One week from today our dossier will be re-submitted to the SDA.  Waiting has been so hard this time because God has brought this beautiful girl in to our lives that we just can't wait to meet.  We have been preparing her room and preparing our children at home for what will be happening.  They are excited that they will have a sister and that we may be bringing her brother home as well.  (I don't have any details on brother that is why I haven't said much about him.)

I first saw a picture of sweet girl on Oct. 16, 2011.

When I saw that face I knew she was my daughter, the daughter I had waited years for.  God knew all those years of waiting were necessary because sweet girl would need us to be there at just this time, His timing.  When I think of it like this I am in awe, that all the "losses" I have had over the years were not losses at all but just necessary detours.

So today I am saying a special prayer for my daughter, that God would give her peace in the waiting and that He would comfort her when she wonders if we are coming.

Going In To Overtime

Looks like we are going in to overtime.  We have paperwork that is not quite right due to some changes at the SDA.  I will get those fixed and back to our facilitor by our resubmission date of May 3.  When I first got this news, I was a little upset  but you know what, we serve an awesome God who has gone before us to prepare the way and His timing is oh so perfect.  He knows the reason we need to wait a little longer and I am trusting in Him. Say a little prayer not only for us today but for that beautiful girl across the water that knows her mama and daddy are on the way and is probably wondering what is taking so long.  : )

Half-Time Entertainment

Since we are still waiting on our travel date I thought I would provide a little half-time entertainment.  These little guys are our foster sons that we are in the process of adopting.  They have been in our home for over 4 years and it has been a long road.  Praise God that He is allowing us to be their parents.  They are so beautiful and just a little ornery but oh the joy that comes and the lessons learned in parenting them.  The first video is Sabastian singing Little Bunny FuFu.  You may not be able to understand all his words but I think you get a peek in to his personality.  The second one is Cash and Sabastian saying the Pledge of Allegiance.  They both love to have me take video of them and then to watch it back.  Hope you enjoy this half-time entertainment and hope to be posting with a travel date soon. : )
