Once our eyes are opened we can't pretend we don't know what to do. God, who weighs our hearts and keeps our souls, knows that we know and holds us responsible to act. Proverbs 24:12

We made it.
Well, we made it. The long flight was a little more than we would have liked, especially for a beginner like Gary. It pretty much went just as planned but boy are we out of our element. We had a wonderful driver from the airport and thank goodness for Konstantin, our facilitator. He showed us the basics, where to eat, where to exchange money, how to get around where we are staying and of course the underground mall. We will be meeting him Monday morning at the SDA to see files of children. We will get out and about tomorrow, Sunday, and hope to post some site seeing pictures and some pictures of our apartment here in Kiev. This has been a very stressful 24 hours but we will keep our eyes on the goal.

HOORAY! I'm glad you made it - was it dark when you got to Kiev? Where did you eat dinner? I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of your apartment and your sight seeing pics too. Kiev is a wonderful city. How was it going through customs? I will be praying for your SDA visit on Monday you view pictures of available children - that God's plan will be made absolutely clear for you!
ReplyDeleteJust rejoice and be glad. I loved the underground mall. Uno's pizza is down there. And, down there is where I exchanged most of my money in Kiev. The street vendors have the coolest stuff. I'd love to go back, but I'll just wait for the pictures.
ReplyDeletePraying that you have a smooth process....but that you enjoy the ride!! Kiev is beautiful...I loved my entire time there. Can't wait to follow your journey!

Thanks for the prayers. Kiev is beautiful. We got here in daylight and ate at McDs for dinner because we were too tired to look further. Going thru Customs went very smoothly, no problems.
