Praise God

We had our SDA appointment today at 2 pm.  It was just awesome to be able to get the referral we have waited so long for.  Sweet girl is 11 years old and brother is 5.  Beautiful, beautiful children.  We give God all the glory because He made it possible.  Thank you to all who have been praying for us.

We will pick up the paperwork tomorrow and travel to their region. She is at summer camp and he is at the orphanage.  We will first meet with a person that is equivilant to our social services director.  He or she will travel with us to meet the children.  Sweet girl is old enough that she will have to write a letter stating that she wants to be adopted by us.  Brother will just have to say yes.  Then we have to wait for paperwork to get processed and then a court date.  Obviously, a very simplified version of what is to come.

I don't have any pictures today.  We left the camera at our apartment because it was raining when we left.  On the 20 minute walk over to the SDA it started to downpour.  The water was just running over our shoes and puddles were everywhere.  All I could do was laugh.  Gary said he would have put his coat down for me to walk on but he only had one coat and there were way too many puddles.  The funny thing is when our appointment was over, the sun was out shining bright.  A fit ending to our day.
